So the day has arrived and your greenhouse has been installed! You’ve got the keys and you’re just about to start planning your summer seeds. But what comes next? We’ve put together a helpful guide on greenhouse maintenance, how to join our community, and keep up to date with our social channels.
Greenhouse Maintenance
When the main growing season is over it is the perfect time to schedule some greenhouse maintenance. We’ve found the quickest and easiest way to clean your greenhouse is using a pressure washer. Make sure to empty your plants from your greenhouse or cover any you can’t remove and then set your pressure washer to 140 °F.
Now the outside has been cleaned, it’s time to give the inside some attention. To clean the internal structure simply use warm soapy water to wash away any debris or pests. Our final recommendation would be to clean your hydroleca. To do this, empty the hydroleca into a bucket and wash through with warm soapy water and then rinse through.
If you have a reservoir and are worried about stagnant water you can buy EM Ceramic pipes to keep things fresh. All you need to do is to hang the pipes in a bag inside your reservoir or water butt and they will continue to keep your water fresh. Find out how they work and order here.
